eMobility Systems Engineer
Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is partnering with a global leader in power and energy technology to identify an eMobility Systems Engineer. This role will support the design and execution of electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects by developing innovative power system solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. This is a full-time opportunity with approximately 20% travel.
Must be willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC.
- Serve as the primary technical lead for engineering activities throughout project execution and proposal development.
- Design electric vehicle charging systems and develop complete system architectures for commercial and industrial applications.
- Prepare and coordinate electrical engineering deliverables, including system layouts, one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and supporting documentation.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and technical evaluations while reviewing vendor and supplier proposals.
- Provide technical guidance during the bidding process and support engineering activities throughout project implementation.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, manufacturing, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in customer meetings to present technical solutions, answer engineering questions, and resolve project-related challenges.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, engineering processes, and technical solutions while ensuring designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Distribution, or a related discipline.
- Three or more years of experience designing or supporting medium-voltage power systems, substations, and low-voltage AC/DC electrical distribution.
- Experience working with power conversion equipment, DC power systems, or electric vehicle charging infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable U.S. electrical standards and codes, including ANSI and IEEE.
- Experience using engineering software such as AutoCAD, BIM, or comparable design platforms.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer meetings, project support, and site activities.
