Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. This role involves managing the project lifecycle from design basis through issuance of deliverables, ensuring coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Manage assigned projects and act as project/program manager.
- Take ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.
- Facilitate planning and kickoff meetings for alignment among stakeholders.
- Support projects through complete life cycle: feasibility, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning.
- Facilitate design process, including page‑turn design reviews and equipment fabrication reviews at key milestones (30%, 60%, 100%).
- Work with technical delivery team and subcontractors to confirm deliverables and exceed client satisfaction, coordinating with team members worldwide.
- Deliver projects in accordance with the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) process.
- Support business development: proposal capture, identify opportunities, facilitate go/no‑go decisions, determine fees, write proposals, prepare client presentations, and negotiate contracts.
- Develop client relationships and manage key accounts.
- Occasional travel to client or project sites.
- Oversee overall project management and administration, establish objectives and policies.
- Provide guidance to subordinate managers, enforce company and project policies, serve as liaison between AECOM and client.
- Ensure all project facets delivered in accordance with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers.
- Administer project from budgeting/scheduling through procurement and contract closeout, with significant profit/loss responsibility.
– Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (Engineering degree preferred).
- 6 years of relevant project management experience or equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Project management experience directly related to power generation projects.
- Experience delivering complex engineering projects and/or programs.
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Professional Engineering Licensure (PE).
- Nuclear project experience.
- +15 years of relevant experience in power generation or heavy industry.
- Experience managing projects in collaborative model environments (e.g., Navisworks, BIM/ACC).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated success working in a remote team environment.

CompensationOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Salary range: $140,000 to $180,000 annually.
