Insight Global is seeking a CAD Designer with experience in Micro Station and AutoCAD Civil 3D to support civil and electrical design projects. This individual will be responsible for creating and revising design drawings, maintaining CAD standards, supporting document management processes, and helping drive automation and efficiency initiatives across the team.
Responsibilities- Create and revise civil and electrical design drawings using Micro Station and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Support utility and infrastructure projects through drafting and design updates
- Develop drawings from engineer markups, sketches, field measurements, and technical documents
- Update and manage drawings within the document management system
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams
- Support SharePoint site updates and team document organization
- Associate degree in CAD Drafting Technology or related field with 3+ years of experience OR
- Technical degree with 5+ years of experience OR
- 8+ years of relevant CAD/design experience without a degree
- Experience using Micro Station and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience creating and revising civil and/or electrical design drawings
- Utility industry experience
- Experience with File Net Fusion
- Experience with automation tools such as Python. Power Shell, or VBA
