Your impact:
As an Entry‑Level Environmental Remediation Professional, you will help our teams tackle real‑life challenges. You’ll support critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Based out of the Eastern United States (preferred locations: Virginia Beach, VA; Boston, MA; metro Washington, DC; Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC), you’ll assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world‑class projects. Responsibilities include planning and executing field activities such as soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance;

preparing scopes of work for subcontracts; conducting data analysis on field and laboratory data sets; and creating technical reports documenting completed activities and results. Estimated time spent doing field work is approximately up to 75%, with some out‑of‑town travel.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness to perform field work
• United States Citizenship
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in one of the preferred locations for this internship or other Eastern U.S. locations based on project needs

• 3.0 GPA
• A previous internship related to your field of study
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
• Self‑driven time management and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain 40‑hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8‑hour HAZWOPER refresher class, if needed for the role

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $88,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
