Position: Project Engineer (5+ Years Experience w/PE)

A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join its growing team around the Raleigh, NC area.

About the Role

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of municipal water and infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, you will play a key role in developing engineering solutions that improve water systems and community resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of water resources and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Support project planning, analysis, and execution alongside senior engineers
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis to support design solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and public agencies to deliver projects
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards
  • Contribute to problem-solving and development of practical engineering solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in water resources or municipal engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or actively PE licensed in North Carolina
  • Experience working with municipalities or public-sector clients is advantageous
  • Familiarity with standard engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
