In the role of Transmission EIT/Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting engineering analyses and developing overhead and underground transmission line design solutions
- Performing transmission line engineering calculations and studies
- Developing and validating transmission line designs in compliance with applicable industry codes and standards
- Independently executing portions of transmission line projects
- Providing technical guidance and design direction to Designers, BIM Specialists, and less-experienced team members
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams
- Supporting project engineering activities
- Participating in field investigations, constructability reviews, site visits, and construction support activities
- Applying engineering judgment to evaluate alternatives, identify risks, and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
- Performing other transmission line engineering-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate
- Successful completion of the Professional Engineering license exam
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Internship or coursework related to power transmission systems
- Local candidates preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
