Role Summary

This role supports the advancement of early-stage innovation by assisting project managers and contributing directly to the development of new products and technologies related to our mission of separating the useful from the harmful. This is a research position.

This internship is based in-person at our facility at 801 Corporate Center Dr. Raleigh, NC 27607. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. This internship requires a minimum commitment of a semester with 20-40 hours per week.

Main Tasks
  • Investigate emerging filtration and separation technologies for medical technology and/or pharmaceutical applications.
  • Support innovation project managers with assigned project tasks.
  • Conduct product, technology, and market research.
  • Interview customers and subject matter experts.
  • Support ideation-phase projects and help develop potential solutions.
  • Publish meeting/workshop minutes and reports.
  • Perform all tasks in a positive and professional manner.
Your Profile Education
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Bioprocessing Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical or Process Engineering, Materials Science, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related science or engineering field.
Skills & Requirements
  • Experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: project management, online research, patent research analysis, technical report writing, prototype construction, and testing.
  • Strong interest in life sciences, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, or filtration and separation technologies.
  • Strong organization, coordination, and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to multitask in a collaborative team and office setting.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest in sustainable, circular filtration concepts to reduce waste and improve environmental performance.
  • Interest or knowledge of filtration and separation technologies
