Job Description & How to Apply Below

Edged Infrastructure has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer – Microgrids & Power Integration to join our team and support Edged Infrastructure, immediately supporting Turbo Cell. If you’re passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of a company that’s on a journey to transform the world’s infrastructure, this may be the role for you!

The Lead Electrical Engineer – Microgrids & Power Integration is a vital member of the team, with a primary focus on end-to-end electrical integration and architecture, multi-component microgrid modeling and analysis, and hands-on laboratory/field bring-up and verification. At Endeavour, we are highly selective about the people we bring on board because our ecosystem depends on it. We seek ultra-creatives and superstar performers with a sense of humility, a hunger to make positive change, and the ability to work equally as well independently as with a team.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
  • System Requirements & Specifications: Drive system-level electrical requirements definition, authoring detailed product and sub-system specifications for microgrids, BESS, power conversion equipment, and switch gear.
  • Product Development Rigor: Drive electrical hardware life cycles through formal development processes, leading DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) execution.
  • Electrical System Architecture: Establish power distribution architecture, grounding strategies, protection coordination, and system interconnects across multi-component microgrids.
  • Supplier & Subsystem Integration: Provide supplier technical oversight, lead design reviews, and manage the technical integration of third-party power conversion equipment, generation assets, and energy storage systems.
  • Testing, Verification & Field Support: Lead test planning, verification, hands-on system bring-up, pre-compliance testing, and root-cause debugging in the lab, as well as field commissioning and troubleshooting support.
  • Voice of Electrical Engineering: Represent the EE discipline in cross-functional alignment with mechanical, firmware, software, and product management teams, while establishing design best practices and mentoring engineering peers.
Skills & Requirements Education / Experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics, electrical distribution, or heavy system-level electrical integration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency driving products through a formal development lifecycle (authoring specifications, DVP&Rs, DFMEAs)
  • Experience with medium-voltage systems, switch gear, HIL testing, or test scripting (Python/MATLAB) is a plus.
Specific Skills / Abilities
  • Deep foundational expertise in power electronics, microgrid architecture, BESS, generation assets, and industrial communication buses (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, RS-485).
  • Proficiency with one or more simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, SPICE, ETAP) and hands-on lab toolsets (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, diagnostic tools).
  • Proficiency in one or more ECAD tools (Altium, Zuken, Cadence, AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks Electrical)
  • Adaptable, highly curious technical leader with strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical safety standards, pre-compliance testing, and regulatory codes (NEC/NFPA 70, UL 1741, UL 9540, UL 2200, IEEE 1547).
Working Conditions
  • Balanced mix of office-based architectural design/modeling and hands-on laboratory/field hardware integration.
  • Comfortable working safely around high-power equipment in a lab or field environment.
  • Expected Travel:
Up to 25% (Hybrid in Raleigh, NC) or up to 50% (Remote)
Great Place to Work

A fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture focused on innovation.
A flexible, autonomous work environment.
A culture of respect, learning, and excellence.
Experienced, highly talented experts as team peers.
Growth and travel opportunities.
