Structural Engineer

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Structural Engineer in the Raleigh NC area

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Projects range from additions to historical remodels to new high end luxury homes.
• Obtain relevant information at onsite consultations and field meetings, use field collected data for problem solving and design changes during construction.
• Interpret sealed engineering drawings and confirm compliance with field framing.
• Incorporate wood, reinforced concrete, and steel into designs.
• Develop and implement structural system designs using AutoCAD.
• Prepare construction documentation for new plans and reports for field work and inspections.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Must hold NC EI or PE Certification or have passed EI exam and be in process of obtaining certification.
• 0 to 5 years+ experience in structural engineering design.
• Candidate must have strong math, analytical skills, communication, writing skills with an understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with wood, structural steel, and reinforced concrete design, or has completed courses related to these materials
• Remodel experience preferred
• Excellent technical writing and communication abilities
