Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Technical Leader, Certification & Compliance Strategy to join a leading technology organization in the networking and cybersecurity industry. The Senior Technical Leader, Certification & Compliance Strategy will serve as a strategic advisor and technical leader focused on regulatory compliance, product certification initiatives, and translating emerging global regulations into actionable engineering requirements across complex technology products.
Responsibilitiesof the Senior Technical Leader, Certification & Compliance Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of certification and compliance strategies for networking, security, and software/hardware products.
- Monitor emerging global regulatory requirements and translate evolving regulations into technical and organizational priorities.
- Partner with engineering, product management, legal, and executive stakeholders to ensure compliance objectives are integrated into product development life cycles.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives related to product certifications, regulatory readiness, and organizational compliance programs.
- Provide strategic guidance on international certification frameworks and regulatory standards impacting product development.
- Influence senior leadership decisions through risk assessments, compliance recommendations, and long-term regulatory planning.
- Lead and mentor globally distributed teams while fostering collaboration across multiple geographies and business units.
- Support regulatory audits, certification efforts, and compliance assessments as needed.
- 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, engineering management, product compliance, or related disciplines.
- Proven track record of navigating complex regulatory environments and driving organizational change.
- Exceptional ability to interpret regulatory trends and translate them into technical requirements and business strategies.
- Strong background in networking, cybersecurity, software development, hardware engineering, or related technology domains.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn emerging regulatory frameworks and apply them to complex technical environments.
- Experience leading remote and globally distributed teams.
- Preferred experience with Common Criteria, CE Marking, EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), or similar international certification and regulatory frameworks.
- Salary range: $150,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
