Summary:
Blackfield Associates are working with a global biopharmaceutical manufacturing organisation in their search for a BMS/FMS Support Engineer to assist the delivery of a major greenfield manufacturing facility program currently under construction locally in Raleigh, North Carolina.
This is a long-term contract hire offering a key role in support of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Facility Management Systems (FMS) throughout the execution phase of a large-scale capital investment project. This position is full-site based and focuses on engineering support, field activities, system testing, and coordination with project teams and equipment vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering support for BMS/FMS systems during project execution, field activities, and testing.
- Work closely with local and global project teams to ensure system designs comply with engineering standards.
- Develop interface agreements and coordinate technical requirements with equipment vendors.
- Plan and execute engineering activities in line with overall project schedules and milestones.
- Support project delivery by assisting with budget management through timely execution of assigned tasks.
- Maintain automation standards, specs, and documentation throughout project lifecycle.
- Deliver technical training as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BMS/FMS systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Operate within GMP and quality requirements, applying a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and change control.
- Experienced in support of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Facility Management Systems (FMS) within life science manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to greenfield or large capital projects during construction and commissioning phases.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, vendor coordination, interface management, and system testing.
- Experience with in GMP/FDA-regulated environments with a quality-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams.
