Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Professional Land Surveyor with 10+ years of experience to join our team in the Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office.
In this position, you will act as a Survey Project Manager in the execution of various public and private sector survey assignments. You will direct teams of technicians and field crews to complete large‑scale public and private works improvement projects, while coordinating survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.
Responsibilities- Supervise field crews and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities
- Coordinate with other discipline leads on scheduling objectives and project milestones
- Assignment of daily responsibilities for survey field crews and office technicians
- Perform boundary analysis for large‑scale corridor, route, or sectionalized land surveys
- Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey related documents as the responsible professional in charge of survey and mapping projects
- Perform in‑process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and preliminary project deliverables
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of North Carolina
- 10 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Microstation or Auto-CAD (Civil3D preferred)
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis; visa sponsorship is not available
