A global leader in power electronics, industrial automation, and energy-efficient technologies is seeking a Field Application Engineer – Servo Systems to support customers and sales teams with advanced servo, motion-control, and power-electronics solutions
.
This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering position for someone who enjoys solving application challenges, working directly with OEM/ODM customers and machine builders
, and supporting projects from initial design through implementation.
You will collaborate with customers, sales, product management, engineering, and global manufacturing teams in the U.S. and Asia.
What You'll Do- Serve as a technical expert for servo systems, motion control, and related power-electronics products
. - Work directly with customers to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Support sales teams with key accounts, technical discussions, and new customer opportunities.
- Engage with OEM/ODM customers and machine builders early in the design cycle.
- Troubleshoot servo, motion-control, and application issues.
- Support product selection, testing, installation, commissioning, and application validation.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and training.
- Coordinate technical issues and project requirements with engineering, product management, sales, and factory teams.
- Support customized servo applications and new product opportunities.
- Manage multiple customer projects and technical priorities simultaneously.
- Identify technical and project risks and drive issues toward resolution.
- Work with global engineering and manufacturing teams, including teams in Asia.
- Travel to customer and company locations approximately 20%, including occasional overnight and international travel.
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience working with servo systems.
- Strong knowledge of servo systems, motion control, motors, drives, and industrial applications
. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical application and product issues.
- Experience translating customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with sales, engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams.
- Ability to independently manage multiple technical projects and priorities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%, including occasional international travel.
- Field Application Engineer or Application Engineer experience supporting servo or motion-control products
. - Experience supporting OEM/ODM customers or machine builders
. - Industrial automation, drives, motors, or motion-control experience.
- Industrial communication networks and motion-control protocols.
- Product testing, commissioning, installation, and validation.
- Customer or distributor technical training.
- Experience working with global engineering/manufacturing organizations.
- RMA, service, or factory-support experience.
- Mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus.

Compensation: $90,000–$120,000
