Engineering Technologist III
CW can sit in Raleigh or Charlotte. Hybrid schedule required. The Engineering Technologist III provides technical and administrative support for engineering programs, processes, and projects within a utility environment. This role supports electrical engineering activities, oversees established business processes, and coordinates technical initiatives resulting from organizational and operational changes. The ideal candidate will have electrical engineering experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support electrical engineering activities, technical studies, and engineering-related projects.
- Manage and oversee established engineering and business processes within the organization.
- Provide technical analysis, problem solving, and support for transition and organizational change initiatives.
- Coordinate activities with engineers, project teams, operations personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, records, and related project information.
- Support project planning, scheduling, tracking, and execution activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- One of the following is required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline; or Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or related field with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience; or 10 to 15 years of relevant utility, engineering, or technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience &
Skills:
- Experience performing or supporting electrical engineering work.
- Experience managing programs, processes, or technical initiatives.
- Utility industry experience preferred.
- Understanding of project management fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across functional teams.
