SMT Inc. seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to lead data center and critical power solutions supporting advanced electronics manufacturing. You will design and optimize applications integrating surface-mount, PCB assembly, and critical power systems to ensure high reliability and uptime. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll troubleshoot complex issues, drive continuous improvement, and support commissioning of new equipment. This role offers hands-on work with automation, high-mix production, and technical problem-solving in a quality-driven, collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support data center and critical power applications for SMT Inc.'s electronics manufacturing operations and customer solutions.
- Integrate power distribution, backup, and monitoring systems with automated SMT and PCB assembly lines to ensure reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into robust application designs.
- Troubleshoot complex system, power, and controls issues, implementing corrective actions to improve performance and stability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, application standards, and best practices for data center and critical power solutions.
- Support installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing of new equipment and systems at the facility and customer sites.
- Analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and capacity planning for critical infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to production, maintenance, and engineering staff on application usage and best practices.
