Electronics Hardware Engineer
Responsibilities As an Electronics Hardware Engineer you will design, develop, test, and validate electronic hardware solutions for power distribution and circuit protection products, including Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI), Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCI), and Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB). Maintain and enhance existing product offers through design updates, component substitutions, cost optimization initiatives, and resolution of field or manufacturing issues. Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for protection, sensing, control, and power management applications.
Create and modify schematics and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts using Cadence Allegro design tools. Perform circuit analysis, modeling, and verification using SPICE simulation tools and laboratory testing techniques. Analyze risks of safety products. Quantify risks and develop mitigations using A/D/T/P FMEA and FTA techniques Define validation plans, analyze test results, and implement design improvements to ensure product reliability and compliance with applicable standards.
Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and product management teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Manage engineering documentation, bills of materials, change records, and design releases using Product Data Management (PDM) systems. Investigate technical issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for product and manufacturing challenges. Support manufacturing sites during product launch activities and ongoing production. Participate in technical reviews and design assessments.
Complete additional responsibilities as required by the business and team.
