About the RoleAs a Senior Product Quality Engineer, you will define and execute quality processes to deliver high-reliability aerospace structures (composite and metallic). You will partner early with design and manufacturing engineering to establish standards and evaluate factory performance.
This hands-on role requires expertise in aerospace quality systems, supply chain quality, precision inspection, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to help build world-class quality processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities- NPI & Quality Planning: Guide aerospace programs through drawing reviews, quality planning, inspection routines, end-of-line metrics, and process validation.
- Production Transition: Lead the transition of hardware from New Product Introduction (NPI) to predictable, high-rate manufacturing while resolving process ambiguities.
- Non-Conformance & RCCA: Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and drive continuous improvement.
- QMS Enhancement: Leverage and optimize internal Quality Management System (QMS) elements to meet strict customer, industry, and defense standards.
- Supply Chain Support: Partner with Supply Chain to establish acceptance criteria for incoming raw materials, parts, and supplier qualifications (PPAP and FAI).
- Metrics & Training: Establish quality performance metrics, design process variance testing, and create inspection training documentation for factory teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience:
Background in engineering, manufacturing, or quality for aerospace vehicles, structures, or complex systems. - Design & CAD: Familiarity with CAD platforms (NX, Solid Works, or CATIA) and aerospace design review processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven history of partnering with production, design, and manufacturing teams.
- Analytical
Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis, metrics generation, issue tracking, and statistical tools. - Clearance: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Airframe Manufacturing: Experience with composite/metallic airframe fabrication and defect modes.
- Quality Standards: 4+ years developing quality systems in complex manufacturing environments (AS9100, AS6500, ISO 9001).
- Quality Tooling: Working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP (MSA), and GD&T.
- Defense Standards: Experience with MIL-STD requirements and government contracts for aerial vehicles.
- Software: Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
