Wildlands is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our growing engineering and environmental restoration team in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. This position will oversee the successful delivery of complex municipal construction projects as well as turnkey projects designed and delivered by our in-house engineering team.
The ideal candidate is an organized, solutions-oriented construction professional who understands how to manage projects from planning and preconstruction through construction, closeout, and final acceptance. This role requires strong field experience, an understanding of civil and environmental construction, and the ability to coordinate effectively with municipal clients, contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Our projects may include stream and wetland restoration, dam removal, stormwater improvements, flood mitigation, site development, utility work, green infrastructure, and other complex public infrastructure projects.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Work with in-house engineers and scientists to integrate design and construction considerations from project inception through completion.
- Help identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, constructability, cost, and schedule.
- Assist with procurement, contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations
- Lead regular contractor/owner/engineer coordination meetings and distribute meeting documents as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, owners, inspectors, municipal agencies, and other stakeholders during construction.
