Catering Event Coordinator

Rave! Catering is seeking an organized, high‑energy Event Coordinator to join our premier catering team. You will support campus dining operations and deliver exceptional service at events across the North Carolina State University campus.

• Mastermind the Logistics
  :
  Translate event visions into reality. Organize staff, equipment, and logistics, utilizing Catertrax to build equipment lists and event floor plans.
• Ensure Flawless Execution
  :
  Ensure all linens, forks, menu items are ordered, on‑hand, and ready before guests arrive.
• Lead and Inspire
  :
  Supervise events on site; run independent events or lead a large service team.
• Deliver “Rave” Service
  :
  Act as the friendly, professional face of Rave! Catering, building relationships with university clients and following up to exceed expectations.
• Collaborate Campus‑wide
  :
  Support the broader NC State Dining mission by aiding other campus dining locations when needed.

• Act as an ambassador for NC State Dining and the university; enrich campus quality of life and support student success.
• Work as part of a cohesive team; create a positive work environment.
• Help maintain a Grade‑A sanitation rating of 95% or better.

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Demonstrated possession of required competencies will be considered.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customers, peers, and supervisors.
• Provide outstanding customer service under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills with accurate data entry.
• Professional collaboration and teamwork.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, pull, push, lift 30 pounds above the head, and sometimes up to 60 pounds.

• Prior experience in catering or food service.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, cleaning and sanitation procedures.

• Valid Driver’s License required; state vehicle provided for driving to events.
