The Government Pricing Manager supports the execution and ongoing management of government pricing activities and serves as a subject matter expert in U.S. government contracting and pricing. This role is responsible for the methodologies, calculations, analysis, submissions, and interactions related to federally mandated government price reporting, including Non-FAMP, Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Best Price, Average Sales Price (ASP), and government programs such as Medicaid, 340B, and TRICARE.

The position partners closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely government pricing calculations and submissions, while supporting operational scalability and future growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute monthly and quarterly government pricing calculations, submissions, invoices, and rebate processes in accordance with defined timelines
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Medicaid rebates and other required government rebates
  • Support preparation and delivery of federally mandated pricing submissions (e.g., AMP, Best Price, Non-FAMP, ASP, 340B)
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Contracting, Rebates & Financial Operations
  • Apply strong knowledge of commercial contracting, rebates, and fee adjudication
  • Manage Medicaid bidding and contracting activities, as needed
  • Perform payment reconciliations and financial activities, including reconciliation of pricing and rebate data to the general ledger
  • Assist with tracking and reporting of departmental budgets
Data Analysis & Issue Resolution
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and outliers
  • Research anomalies and determine root causes to ensure accurate pricing outcomes
  • Translate data into insights to support informed, compliant decision-making
Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
  • Coordinate workflows, approvals, and data exchanges with internal stakeholders and third-party processors in accordance with healthcare regulations
  • Serve as backup and support to the Government Pricing lead for monthly reporting and statutory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with state and federal agencies, third-party processors, commercial plans, and legal partners
Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Independently lead initiatives addressing evolving regulatory, customer, and market requirements
  • Build business cases to evaluate opportunities and support compliant operational scaling
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and support product and organizational growth
  • Stay current on government pricing regulations, CMS guidance, and industry trends across Medicaid rebates, state contracting, government pricing calculations, class of trade, 340B eligibility, and commercial rebating
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset through ongoing education and participation in relevant industry meetings and forums
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries, with cross-functional exposure (e.g., Market Access, Analytics, Finance, Government Pricing)
  • Three (3) or more years of demonstrated success in Government Pricing
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and convert data into actionable insights
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle but critical data variances
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, including P&L understanding, accounting principles, and financial modeling
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional resources in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant industry tools and data sources (e.g., pricing databases, CMS portals)
Preferred
  • Experience using government contracting or pricing systems (e.g., iContracts or similar platforms)
