Principal Recruitment Consultant - NetsuiteWe are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join a dynamic organization dedicated to transforming the landscape of clinical research. This role is essential in managing the financial operations of our clinical research site, focusing on enhancing trial access for patients through innovative solutions.
The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for recording monthly journal entries, completing close procedures, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing monthly reports. You will ensure compliance with GAAP and provide financial insights into study budgets, site operations, and contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger by recording monthly journal entries with comprehensive supporting documentation.
- Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Manage cash balances to ensure adequate funding for operating expenses.
- Set up new agreements in our financial systems in collaboration with project managers and business development.
- Capture billing data, invoice sponsors according to terms, and address any billing inquiries.
- Maintain accounts receivable and deferred revenue reconciliations.
- Provide updates on open accounts receivable balances and collection efforts.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of all revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with quarterly commission calculations and study closeout reconciliations.
- Compile monthly financial results for internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial tools and processes, leveraging innovative applications.
- Support cross-functional initiatives, special projects, and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory reporting audits.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or clinical research.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in financial software, with experience in Net Suite preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling.
Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in accounting with a proven ability to perform reconciliations and review journal entries.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing environment with effective decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of building positive relationships and presenting reports.
- Proficient in MS Office, Google applications, and financial software; knowledge of AI tools for streamlining processes is a plus.
- Professionalism and integrity in all actions, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
