As a Director Finance, you will lead the finance and accounting functions for the U.S. manufacturing region, consisting of 5 factories and approximately $1.5 billion USD of annual production value. You will report financial statements, partner with manufacturing and commercial teams, and drive cost, cash, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary finance and accounting leader over U.S. manufacturing operations.
- Partner with the Manufacturing Director and Commercial Finance & Brand‑Led teams as the primary business partner, ensuring financial commitments are met.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to manufacturing operations, shaping decisions and driving business performance.
- Lead efforts to improve cost and cash performance across the region in alignment with global manufacturing standards.
- Partner with supply chain and cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliver stronger financial results.
- Translate plant performance data into actionable insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and business impact.
- Develop scenario models and business cases supporting strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Play a key role in performance reviews with operations leadership to drive accountability and results.
- Prioritize capital investments across the region to support growth, productivity, and operational goals.
- Lead core financial planning processes (actuals, forecasts, budgets) across U.S. manufacturing sites.
- Ensure a strong and disciplined month‑end and quarter‑end close process delivering timely and accurate results.
- Maintain high‑quality financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, local statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Strengthen balance sheet ownership and financial discipline across site controller teams.
- Drive strong control environments, SOX compliance, fixed‑asset governance, and capital‑spend monitoring.
- Proactively identify financial and accounting risks and implement practical solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to deliver efficient audits, minimize findings, and close actions on time.
- Lead and influence direct reports and cross‑functional peers, coaching and developing talent.
- Support shared services and center‑of‑excellence initiatives, applying Lean Office principles.
- Build strong relationships across a matrixed organization, collaborating with leaders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience with significant manufacturing and global operations exposure.
- Professional qualification CPA, CMA, or equivalent desirable.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP and HFM.
- Expertise in internal controls, compliance, financial reporting, FP&A, and advanced cost accounting.
- Proven track record driving operational performance, restructuring, and delivering strategic business outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to operate with a global mindset and thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
Competitive salary range: $115,800 – $199,800 (annual, full‑time), based on experience and location. The salary is only one component of total rewards.
