* SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for strategic planning and leading strategic business transformation projects within finance. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
** RESPONSIBILITIES:  Tasks may include but are not limited to:
* Lead strategic business transformation projects within the finance function.
* As needed develop innovative finance and operational metrics to enhance profitability and efficiency.
* Translate corporate strategies into actionable business plans and financial forecasts.
* Design and implement new finance organizational structures to support evolving business needs.
* Oversee the creation of financial outlooks and gap closure plans to adapt to shifting market dynamics.
* Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with long-term business goals.
* Analyze financial data to inform and improve company-wide decision-making processes.
* Collaborate with the executive management team to translate corporate strategy into actionable and financially viable business plans
* Lead organizational restructuring efforts from a financial perspective, optimizing for efficiency and profitability
* Engage with the board of directors and investor relations to communicate financial strategy, performance, and outlook

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Strong leadership qualities with experience in executive team collaboration and cross-functional team leadership.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders and team members.
* Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, strategic planning, and financial analysis.
* Ability to develop and present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to executive management and the board of directors.
* Expertise in financial systems, such as HFM Hyperion, and the ability to manage complex financial transactions.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and driving results.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
* Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in FP&A, strategic planning, and corporate finance.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading finance teams and managing large-scale financial projects within a large, complex organization.
* Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and business growth.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards, financial procedures, and contract research organization (CRO) operations is advantageous.
