Finance Leader For Affordable Housing Investments
We are looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee fund management activities for a portfolio of affordable housing investments in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position will guide financial strategy, portfolio analysis, and investment decision support while helping leadership evaluate performance, risk, and future opportunities. The role is well suited for someone who brings strong fund expertise, advanced modeling capability, and the judgment to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Direct fund oversight for affordable housing investment vehicles, ensuring financial performance is closely tracked and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Build, refine, and evaluate detailed financial models covering fund cash flow, projected returns, asset underwriting, and sensitivity analysis.
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, valuation reviews, and long-term financial projections to support portfolio management decisions.
- Assess investment activities such as acquisitions, recapitalizations, dispositions, and operating strategies to determine financial impact across the portfolio.
- Monitor results against expected performance, highlight emerging risks or upside opportunities, and recommend actions to improve outcomes.
- Work closely with teams across acquisitions, asset management, accounting, legal, and investor relations to support execution, reporting, and fund-level analysis.
- Prepare materials for executives and investors that clearly communicate portfolio trends, investment results, and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to fundraising and due diligence efforts by providing financial analysis, presentation support, and responses to investor inquiries.
- Review partnership arrangements, distribution structures, tax credit assumptions, and overall transaction economics for affordable housing investments.
- Strengthen reporting methods, analytical frameworks, and portfolio management tools to improve insight, accuracy, and decision-making.
