Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting

This highly visible position will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to own key forecasting, reporting, and analytical processes while providing insights into recurring revenue trends, profitability, and operational performance. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling skills with deep SaaS finance experience and a passion for turning data into actionable business recommendations.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare executive leadership, board, and investor reporting packages, including monthly business reviews and quarterly presentations.
- Lead variance analysis against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of business performance and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting forecasting, strategic planning, and operational decision-making.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Accounting teams to support planning and performance management.
- Perform product, customer, and business unit profitability analysis to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
- Support strategic initiatives, including M&A analysis, market research, benchmarking, and business case development.
- Administer and analyze sales commission programs, ensuring accurate calculations and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve FP&A processes through technology and AI-enabled solutions.
- Develop executive-ready presentations and communicate financial results to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a similarly analytical role.
- Prior SaaS/software industry experience is required.
- Strong understanding of recurring revenue business models and SaaS performance metrics, including ARR, MRR, churn, retention, LTV, and CAC.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and profitability modeling.
- Experience building and maintaining SaaS-focused financial models, including ARR waterfalls, headcount models, and long-range planning models.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong business partnering experience with cross-functional leaders.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise recommendations for executive audiences.
- Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
- Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
