The City of Raleigh’s Community Engagement Department is seeking a collaborative and service-oriented Community Engagement Analyst to join our team. This role plays a vital part in strengthening the City’s capacity to engage the public in ways that are accessible, responsive, and rooted in community priorities.
The Community Engagement Analyst will report to the Community Partnerships Supervisor under the Community Partnerships Division and work with staff across all divisions of the department, including neighborhood services, youth services, business services, and organizational development. This cross-functional structure offers a unique opportunity to gain broad experience and contribute to a wide range of initiatives that connect residents with city resources and decision-making processes.
In this role, you’ll support Raleigh Neighborhood College, Raleigh Engagement Network, and Volunteer Raleigh by coordinating programs, providing technical assistance, supporting training efforts, and strengthening community participation across the city, among other duties and responsibilities.
Thisis ahybrid role eligible for teleworking 2 days per week. Some evening and weekend work is required for community meetings and engagement events.

We collaborate across departments to strengthen engagement planning, provide technical assistance, and help staff and residents build the skills and tools needed for impactful community engagement. Together, we work to ensure that city processes reflect the perspectives, experiences, and contributions of all Raleigh residents.

- Supporting accessible engagement strategies for City programs and projects in collaboration with department and cross-departmental teams
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of Raleigh Neighborhood College, including participant outreach and communication, curriculum and session‑material preparation, graduation, and other program logistics, while working with City and external partners to provide participants with knowledge of local government, public services, and opportunities for civic participation
