We are seeking a Research Technician to support translational research within the field of comparative genetics, focusing on canine and feline models. This role blends hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and project management. The successful candidate will understand the scientific rationale behind experiments and contribute to methodological developments across several concurrent projects.

• Experimental Support: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and protein analysis. Test hypotheses and assist in refining new experimental protocols.
• Project Coordination: Manage workflows for multiple projects to meet deadlines. Analyze experimental data and maintain detailed laboratory records.
• Diagnostics & Quality Control: Support the Cardiac Genetics Laboratory by processing diagnostic requests and overseeing QC to ensure result integrity.
• Lab Operations: Manage inventory, procurement, and laboratory safety protocols to ensure compliance with institutional standards.

Note: This is a time-limited position with an expected duration of 1-2 years.

Minimum Experience/Education
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency:
  Strong foundational knowledge of molecular and cell biology, including the ability to operate highly specialized laboratory equipment.
