This position is responsible for listening and taking notes on all pertinent information dictated by students in a mathematics testing situation.
- Writes or types clear, accurate, and legible notes including a full account of information conveyed when student is testing where it is necessary to make notes
- Provides notes to student in response to dictation within testing timeframe to meet their needs
- Marks important points of the student’s answers underlining and in bold if requested
- Notes any and all abbreviations, symbols, formulas, etc. accurately upon dictation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others
- Ability to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently
- Demonstrates good organizational skills
- Intermediate skills with MS Office products and computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to be trained in the conversion of text using technology
- Ability to be professional and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to take notes from student dictation in a concise, organized and legible manner
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Exposure to higher level math
- Strong foundation in Mathematics, especially in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations
