Testing Mathematics Scribe; Part-Time, Temporary

This position is responsible for listening and taking notes on all pertinent information dictated by students in a mathematics testing situation.

• Writes or types clear, accurate, and legible notes including a full account of information conveyed when student is testing where it is necessary to make notes
• Provides notes to student in response to dictation within testing timeframe to meet their needs
• Marks important points of the student’s answers underlining and in bold if requested
• Notes any and all abbreviations, symbols, formulas, etc. accurately upon dictation

• Intermediate skills with MS Office products and computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and willingness to be trained in the conversion of text using technology
• Ability to be professional and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to take notes from student dictation in a concise, organized and legible manner

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Exposure to higher level math

• Strong foundation in Mathematics, especially in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations
