Qualifications

Position Summary

To facilitate the flow of organization information; to provide a positive, responsive environment for receiving internal and external customers by processing incoming and outgoing verbal and written communication to/for employees, patients, families, agencies, and all other persons having business with Holly Hill Hospital. Ensure telecommunications equipment is in good working order.

Education / Training
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • One year experience as Switchboard Operator/Receptionist; preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.
Licensure / Certification

None required.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service to internal/external customers
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and tact
  • Pleasant and audible speech with good enunciation
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent organizational skills

    Ability to operate AT&T System 25 or 75 console, or similar
  • Ability to remain seated at switchboard for long periods of time without significant discomfort or distress
  • Basic Computer

    Skills:

    MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
