Summary: Responsible for providing availability of necessary instrumentation and supplies that are essential to maintain and support the surgical services department. Maintains accurate records of all quality control monitors for sterilization efficiency.

• Assembles surgical case carts with the necessary surgical supply items.
• Utilizes EPIC Optime to print and review OR schedules and print surgical preference cards.
• Places surgical supplies on the OR case carts for specific OR case.
• Coordinates, pulls from inventories, and prepares necessary supplies for emergent and routine surgical cases to ensure proper supplies for each case are delivered as needed.
• Collaborates with Service Coordinators, Perioperative Services Materials Management Team and Sterile Processing Department to work as a team in meeting surgical case needs.
• Inspects all packaging for integrity of sterile inventory. Collaborate with Materials Management staff on stock rotation in order to prevent inventory expiration.
• Supports Materials Management purchasing team with advance notice of low stock items and empty bins to ensure adequate supplies. Assists in performing global substitutions of supply items that are approved by Service Coordinator as permanently discontinued or on an extended supply backorder in order to maintain integrity of preference cards.
• Identifies and anticipates potential problems by taking action to prevent or minimize the effect of the issue. Facilitates continuous communications and performance improvement as it relates to all supplies.
• Performs other related functions as assigned.

Professional Experience Requirements:

Prefer previous work experience related to supply/materials management and/or previous case picking experience.
