The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for the clinical oversight for all outpatient therapy services. The Director manages all activities involving outpatient referrals from initial call through completion of treatment plans, coordinating caseloads, developing and managing the outpatient staff, and marketing the program. This goal for this position is to maximize referral potentials from assigned accounts and develop new business to achieve the goals and objectives of the business‑development systems.

• Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited university in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, or another mental‑health‑related field.
• Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility.
• Licensure: Current LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT (license issued by the State of North Carolina).
• Additional Requirements: Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agencies’ regulations, patient‑rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws regulating mental‑health care facilities; CPR and HWC/CPI training certification must be completed before providing direct care services.

• Ensure that a system is developed to provide continuity of care and communication with patients.
• Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
• Implement program policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
• Ensure the program complies with JCAHO, HCFA, state and patient‑rights regulatory standards.
• Conduct and maintain records of monthly program meetings.
