Overview
Hello! I am looking for an experienced elder care provider for my mother with late stage dementia. She is polite and compliant, but has short term memory deficit. She now requires assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, meal prep) and we are looking for a caregiver to help out a few days a week. We are looking to start off with 3 days a week.
Responsibilities- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and support to enable attendance at adult daycare located less than 2 miles from home.
- Stay with her one evening per week (schedule is flexible).
- Three days per week to start.
- Monday and Thursday mornings, 6:00–10:00 a.m. to help her get up and dressed for daycare.
- Reliable transportation.
- Enjoy puzzles and Family Feud (preferred but not required).
- Patience and compassionate care are essential.
