Leveraging a minimum of 10 years of experience in digital accessibility, this role will partner with the Director of Accessibility to establish processes, develop self‑service tools, create and deliver training, and provide general accessibility consulting—ensuring internal systems, tools, and communications are truly inclusive.

You will be instrumental in implementing best practices and fostering a deep understanding of accessibility across all internal functions and product teams.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive third‑party vendor accessibility programs for internal tools and services, including policies, streamlined processes, vendor engagement procedures, tracking mechanisms, and contract language recommendations.
  • Integrate accessibility into procurement and supply chain management processes for internal software, hardware, and services.
  • Champion organization‑wide initiatives to elevate awareness and adoption of accessible internal communications (e.g., emails, newsletters, intranet content, Power Points, documents) and inclusive meeting practices.
  • Act as a key accessibility advisor, consulting on the development of new internal business‑focused solutions and tools designed for or impacting employees with disabilities.

Technical Expertise & Implementation for Internal Products

  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert, advising internal teams on digital accessibility best practices for products and tools, focusing on WCAG 2.x guidelines (2.0, 2.1, and future versions).
  • Integrate accessibility into complex internal communication platforms, collaboration tools, and AI tools, down to individual Microsoft Office documents, emails, and training modules.
  • Conduct accessibility audits tailored to audience technical knowledge and provide technical solutions and remediation to cross‑functional internal teams.
  • Apply and consult on accessibility and usability principles in the ideation, discovery, and design phases for internal tools.
  • Educate and support teams with integrating user research and user testing with people with disabilities.

Training, Mentorship & Disability Inclusion Advocacy

  • Cultivate a network of internal champions and advocates for accessible solutions.
  • Host regular office hours and open forums to provide ongoing support, answer technical and strategic questions, and foster a community of practice for accessibility champions.
  • Design, develop, and deliver accessibility‑focused training and self‑service aids and resources to empower employees to understand, advocate for, and implement accessible content creation (e.g., documents, presentations, videos).
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance on best practices for facilitating inclusive meetings, virtual events, and in‑person gatherings.
