Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root‑cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for highly complex issues.
- Oversees programming and debugging activities performed by others.
- Responds to incidents or service tickets in a timely manner.
- Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.
- Leads large, complex projects related to improving processes or support capabilities.
- Engages and manages external vendors.
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices.
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
- Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
- Might have people‑management responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in development or production support, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.
- Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
- Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
- Ability to lead complex projects.
- Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
- Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in technical program or delivery management within enterprise IT, platform engineering, Dev Ops, or infrastructure organizations.
- Strong understanding of platform technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines:
Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD. - Experience with IaC & automation:
Terraform, Ansible, Service Now workflows. - Experience with Container platforms:
Kubernetes, Open Shift. - Experience with Security & observability tools:
Vault, Prometheus, Open Telemetry, Splunk. - Proven ability to drive delivery across multiple concurrent efforts with complex interdependencies.
- Exceptional skills in written communication, stakeholder influence, and risk management.
- Hands‑on experience with tools like Jira, Rally, Confluence for tracking and reporting.
- Exposure to internal developer portals and platform product management.
- Background in software engineering, platform operations, or systems architecture.
- Experience working with compliance‑heavy environments (NIST, SOX, FFIEC, ISO).
- Familiarity with platform product management concepts and internal developer portals (e.g., Backstage).
- SAFe Agile or PMP certification (or equivalent delivery methodology expertise).
- Regular sitting (25%–50% of the time).
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Visual / Audio / Speaking:
Able to access and interpret client information from the computer and hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone. - Manual dexterity / keyboarding:
Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers. - Availability:
Able to work all scheduled hours, including overtime, as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need. - Travel:
Up to 25%.
