Our Sales team takes a customer-centric approach to all stages of the sales lifecycle, which include building an account strategy, developing and implementing solutions that prove our technical value, and driving adoption and consumption of our technologies through professional services.
Now, it's time for the exciting part. We are looking for a Services Portfolio Intern to join us in May 2026.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects focused on improving our services portfolio, enhancing seller tools, and exploring innovative applications of technology, particularly in the realm of Artificial Intelligence. As part of the Red Hat Intern Program, you will benefit from professional development, social engagement, networking, and meaningful work under the mentorship of experienced Red Hatters.
What you will do
The specific projects and initiatives will be determined based on evolving business needs at the time of the internship, but they will align with the following types of work:
Content Governance & AI Enablement:
You may work on designing/refining and piloting content governance frameworks to prepare sales enablement materials for use with AI tools. This could involve analyzing existing content, proposing improvements, and testing new systems to ensure content is optimized for AI-driven assistance.
Tool Enhancement & Optimization:
You might contribute to improving the accuracy or utility of existing seller tools, which involves analyzing historical data, identifying areas for enhancement, and developing new logic or prototypes to improve tool performance and business outcomes.
New AI Tool Prototyping:
You could be involved in building a proof-of-concept for a new AI-based tool designed to solve specific problems for our sellers. This would include researching potential solutions, developing a basic prototype, and gathering user feedback from pilot groups.
Market & User Analysis:
Your work might include conducting studies on how our services sellers feel about and use our Services Portfolio, or assessing the viability and impact of new roles or approaches within the team. This involves gathering feedback, analyzing data, and providing actionable recommendations.
Go-to-market processes:
You may work on refining our go-to-market processes including streamlining the build of new offerings leveraging AI and assessing current go-to-market processes for efficiencies, and proposing
Throughout your internship, you will work closely with product and program management teams, assist with project management tasks like tracking progress and preparing documentation, and engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive projects forward.
What you will bring
We are looking for a passionate, curious, and proactive individual eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have:
A keen interest in emerging technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence, and how they can enhance productivity, communication, and engagement.
A creative mindset with an eagerness to explore innovative ways to reach and influence audiences through various digital content formats (e.g., short-form video, digital campaigns, podcasts).
An interest in open source technology and a desire to build a career within the tech industry.
A strong eagerness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, data science, information technology, or a related discipline).
