NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an IT Senior Tester to perform QA and testing work related to supporting the MES modules.

• Assess testability of requirements and develop test cases based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
• Execute functional, integration and regression tests.
• Develop SQL queries and utilize SQL tools.
• Script automated test suites.
• Review, analyze and report test results.
• Use test and defect management tools (HP ALM, JIRA preferred).
• Test web applications, REST APIs and SAML SSO.
• Work with end users to ensure thorough and complete user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with developers to identify potential test automation opportunities and define suitable frameworks/strategies.
• Collaborate with product owners to analyze requirements and identify impact areas and use cases.
• Communicate effectively, prioritize concurrent deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum.
• Demonstrated proficiency in QA and testing of web applications.

• Minimum 2 years experience assessing testability of requirements and creating test cases.
• Minimum 5 years experience executing functional, integration and regression tests.
• Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience with test and defect management tools (HP ALM, JIRA).
• Minimum 3 years experience testing REST APIs and SAML SSO.
• Minimum 2 years experience developing SQL queries.
• Minimum 3 years experience scripting automated test suites.
• Minimum 3 years experience writing business and QA documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
