Systems Engineer
We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to lead the modernization of our on-premises application delivery and infrastructure automation capabilities. This is a highly impactful role responsible for shaping the Agency’s future‑state Dev Ops practices. This engineer will architect and implement modern CI/CD pipelines, automate server provisioning and configuration, support .NET application builds, and collaborate closely with developers, operations staff, and leadership.
The ideal candidate brings a strong developer mindset, deep Power Shell skills, and hands‑on experience with Azure Dev Ops Server in an enterprise environment. This role includes approximately 60% infrastructure automation and 40% development/scripting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops Server (Classic and YAML).
- Modernize the current build and release processes across ~40 .NET applications.
- Automate provisioning and configuration of on‑prem Windows and Linux servers using Power Shell, DSC, and scripting tools.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to define technical requirements, improve deployment workflows, and standardize best practices.
- Support .NET application builds, package management (NuGet, NPM), and Git branching strategies.
- Assist in designing and implementing an enterprise on‑prem application delivery platform.
- Execute multi‑week and multi‑month technical projects such as pipeline migration, server upgrades, or new infrastructure build‑outs.
- Create documentation, implementation plans, and presentations to support decision‑making and training.
- Ensure security, reliability, and high‑quality delivery across all environments (Dev, Training, Pre‑Prod, Prod).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
