Position: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance
Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer to join a rapidly growing fintech team located in Raleigh, NC to support the design, automation, and operation of highly available cloud-based infrastructure and modern Dev Ops systems. The ideal Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer with work on site Tuesday - Thursday in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities for the Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer:
* Lead efforts to manage and scale highly available, cloud-based distributed systems while driving automation across the environment.
* Enhance observability and reliability by building monitoring, resiliency, and performance-health frameworks for mission-critical services.
* Oversee deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes across staging and production environments while serving as a key SME for Dev Ops initiatives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve systems, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer:
* 6+ years of experience as a Dev Ops Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Cloud Engineer supporting large-scale production environments.
* Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
* Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Linux operations, Kubernetes, Docker,
* Proficiency with automation and CI/CD toolsets such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Git.
* Experience with SQL Server and Postgres, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
* Strong scripting ability in Python, Java, or Shell.
* Solid background in network security technologies: DNS, VPN/VPC, IDS/IPS, subnets, ACLs, security groups, HA/DR, IAM, WAF, and key-management solutions.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Compensation/Benefits for the Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer:
* Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
