Data Staff, Inc is in need of a Network/Telecom Specialist for a long‑term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC
. This position is hybrid.

• Design, implementation and troubleshooting of both the hardware and software necessary for a LAN and wireless computer network.
• Specialization in Cisco/Meraki wireless products, methodologies, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with Cisco LAN products, methodologies, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with Cisco ISE methodologies, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with rack‑based UPS battery implementation, monitoring and alerting.
• Work with business units on obtaining price quotes for new equipment and coordinating installation of purchased equipment and software.
• Work with IT teams and management and provide reports, summaries and documentation for all tasks and projects worked on.
• Obtain and send price quotes to business units based on environment design.
• Coordinate equipment orders and installation/configuration.
• Equipment installation configuration.
• Update Wireless Controllers to new version of Software.
• Update Cisco ISE to newer version – ISE 3.1.0 is the current Gold Star Release (requires new license model and requires a valid SSL Certificate on the Cisco Virtual ISE appliances).
• Replace campus closet UPS batteries as needed.
• Network UPS Units using network adapter card. Add UPS VLAN to that building for the UPS to use.
• Update SNMP Strings/NTP/Username/Passwords on each Unit.
• Create a spreadsheet with Building and Room numbers of located units and, if possible, date of last installed battery.
• Add UPS units to monitoring systems.
• Attend weekly meetings.
• Work with other IT teams as part of implementation projects.
• Create reports and summaries as needed.
• Create systems documentation as needed.

• Able to work without assistance.
• Able to manage multiple complex work efforts.
• Should have extensive industry experience.
• May have advanced education.
• Excellent time management and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

• 7 Years – Palo Alto Firewall administration, configuration and troubleshooting (including Panorama).
• 7 Years – General firewall communications troubleshooting including application communications and secure communications protocols.
• 10 Years – Cisco LAN Infrastructure including Software‑Defined Access (SDA) support and troubleshooting.
• 10 Years – Network infrastructure security vulnerability assessment, research and remediation.
• 7 Years – Cisco ISE administration, support and troubleshooting.
• 7 Years – Cisco Catalyst Center administration, support and troubleshooting.
• 7 Years – Experience with Service Now ticketing, change and configuration management modules.
• 10 Years – Vendor and client interaction and communications.
• 10 Years – Technical information collection and documentation.
• 10 Years – Team interaction and communications.
• Must be local to be able to come on‑site as needed.

This position is available on a corp‑to‑corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
