Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Customer Success Engineering professional, you will support IT automation and financial operations value realization and deliver value to clients through IT automation and financial operations, focusing on supporting the realization of these values.

  • Solution Delivery:
    Supporting IT automation and financial operations to realize value for clients, focusing on effective delivery and implementation.
  • Client Support:
    Providing support to clients to ensure they achieve their desired outcomes from IT automation and financial operations.
  • Automation Enablement:
    Enabling automation solutions to support financial operations and drive value realization for clients.
  • Supporting customers in the US Industry Market focusing on Energy & Utilities, Communications, and high tech verticals.
  • Providing prospects, customers, IBM business partners, and the IBM sales team with in‑depth domain, product, solutions and/or technical product expertise covering the IBM Automation IT Automation - Fin Ops pillar.
  • Applying business insights, building and maintaining client relationships, incorporating hardware, software, and services into client‑valued solutions and ensuring client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions.
  • Engaging in pre‑sales activity of the sales cycle, including sales/business discussions, solution discovery, solution and business assessments, solution demonstrations, pilots, and proofs of concepts.
  • Consulting with detailed needs analysis, creating customized presentations and demonstrations, and delivering written documentation and other materials to support the sales team and sales opportunities.
  • Ensuring the technical accuracy of the proposed solution for specific opportunities or projects.
  • Pulling in other resources such as solution focused SMEs, partners, etc., to help drive a successful technical solution review with clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • IT Automation Support:
    Exposure to IT automation technologies and processes to deliver value to clients, including experience with automation solutions and their implementation.
  • Financial Operations Knowledge:
    Understanding of financial operations and their relationship with IT automation to drive value realization.
  • Solution Delivery

    Experience:

    Experience delivering solutions to clients, focusing on effective implementation and support.
  • Client Value Realization:
    Experience supporting clients in achieving desired outcomes from IT automation and financial operations.
  • Automation Enablement

    Skills:

    Experience enabling automation solutions to support financial operations and drive client value.
  • Basic Understanding of Observability, Event Management, FINO

    ps within the IBM IT Automation - Fin Ops solutions and/or competing solutions.
  • Experience with IBM Observability solutions such as Instana, Turbonomic, Concert, Cloud Pak for AIOps, Apptio, Kubecost is a bonus.
  • Proven record of successfully understanding client issues and pulling together strategies to ensure client success.
  • Excellent customer relations; verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sales reps, SMEs and business partners to close business deals.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and associated opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to learn IBM's line of products and services.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve business and technical challenges.
  • Ability to negotiate and prioritize projects.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • IT Automation Tools:
    Exposure to various IT automation technologies and processes.
  • Financial Operations Systems:
    Understanding of financial operations systems and their integration with IT automation.
  • Automation Solutions:
    Experience implementing automation solutions to support financial operations and drive value realization.
  • Experience with IT Automation products such as Splunk, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Data Dog, etc. is a bonus.
