Computer Technician – Inspection & Customer Support (Temporary)

Chapel Hill, NC. 40 hours per week, onsite.

Job Description:
Inspect incoming computer equipment to determine whether units should be recycled or refurbished for resale. Assist customers with technical issues related to refurbished systems. Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on refurbishable units and maintain inventory records.
- Receive and inspect incoming computer hardware.
- Evaluate condition and functionality to determine recycling or refurbishment.
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on refurbishable units.
- Document inspection results and maintain inventory records.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding refurbished computers.
- Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Retrieve equipment from a heated work shed; comfortable working in cooler temperatures for short periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in computer hardware support, troubleshooting, repair, IT support, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience with computer repair or IT support is a plus.
