Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer – IT Initiatives
Location:
USA – Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area (Onsite)
Contract Type: W2 Hourly Contract. Rate: $50/hour
Project Duration:
June 2026 – December 31, 2026, with possible extension.
Project Capacity: 40 hours per week.

This role supports an IT Customer Success and Enablement group by driving internal customer success and technology enablement to minimize disruption, enhance productivity, and improve the employee experience. Your team will bridge the gap between technology and people by raising awareness and fostering engagement with IT offerings, initiatives, platforms, and services. The focus is on measuring adoption, satisfaction, and ensuring continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities- Learner needs assessment – thoroughly understand the learners’ needs and requirements, researching and analyzing learner profiles, preferences, and challenges, to ensure the learning experience is tailored to their needs.
- Learning experience design – collaborate with team and stakeholders to plan, co‑create, and design learning experiences fit for the audience and needs of the initiative or product offering, including live learning events, eLearning courses, on‑demand resources, and internal social announcements.
- Learning content development – develop learning content for various technology solutions that are accessible and understandable to a non‑technical audience. Support content development, including facilitator scripts and presentation materials for IT live learning events.
- eLearning development – build interactive eLearning solutions in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360 and deploy in the Learning Management Systems. Leverage multimedia elements, design elements, and interactive technologies to create dynamic and immersive learning environments.
- Collaboration and consultation – work closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance of the content, aligning learning experiences with desired outcomes.
- Learning facilitation and delivery – facilitate live or in‑person sessions with global audiences focused on technology products, services, and/or initiatives, leveraging interactive methods to maximize learner participation, engagement, and retention.
- Learning surveys and evaluation – ensure all learning deliverables include a listening and measurement strategy, and implement surveys and evaluation methods to support each one.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in Learning Experience Design:
Curriculum Design and eLearning Development.
- Instructional design experience creating courses in technology-related areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Microsoft Productivity Suite, and/or computer applications for internal end users.
- Knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE or Successive Approximation Model (SAM).
- Expert eLearning development skills using Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
- Ability to educate end users on complex or technical subjects in clear and engaging ways.
- Experience designing and delivering engaging virtual learning sessions using Zoom Meetings or similar tools.
- Proven experience creating visually engaging learning content and graphics using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, with exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for layout, color, and brand alignment.
- Experience producing live-action and graphics-based instructional videos.
- Strong project management skills to ensure quality and on‑time delivery.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
