Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Dev Ops Engineer – TS/SCI for a mission-driven organization operating within the national security and advanced technology industry in the Raleigh Durham, NC area. The Sr. Dev Ops Engineer – TS/SCI role is a hybrid role supporting secure environments and complex systems. The Sr. Dev Ops Engineer – TS/SCI will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure while contributing hands‑on to full stack application development across classified programs.
An ideal candidate brings a strong Dev Ops foundation combined with full stack development expertise and experience working in cleared environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support secure application development and deployment.
- Build and manage cloud and on‑prem infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Develop and maintain full stack applications using modern front‑end and back‑end frameworks.
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in high‑security environments.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, and system architects to ensure reliable and compliant deployments.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack.
- Implement Dev Sec Ops best practices, integrating security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
- Automate operational tasks and improve system scalability, resiliency, and efficiency.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- 7+ years of experience in full stack engineering, Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong full stack development experience with technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript/Type Script, or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, etc.).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in secure or regulated environments.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security best practices.
- Salary range: $190,000 - $250,000
