Must have:

- Ability to manage priorities independently and deliver work on time.
- Hands‑on experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Cisco or similar vendor solutions.
- Ability to identify network topologies, build lab environments, and work across multiple technologies to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
- Experience gathering business requirements and turning them into practical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional groups and work well as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- At least 10 years of computer networking experience.
- Ability to pass a US government background check for clearance.
- Deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching.
- Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting large enterprise, multi‑site, multi‑vendor unified communications environments.
- Experience with deployment automation, vulnerability remediation, updates, and configuration management for routing and switching systems.
- Experience overseeing a team supporting a trouble ticket system.
- Familiarity with modern Dev Ops practices, automated testing tools, and monitoring platforms.
- An active CCIE.
- A bachelor's degree.
- Support one of the largest US government agencies and help maintain a major government network environment.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot networking technologies across Cisco and other vendor platforms.
- Design lab setups and use them to replicate issues and develop effective resolutions.
- Gather operational and business needs and translate them into working technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
- Ensure customer success and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Oversee and support trouble ticket operations as needed.
- Apply automation, testing, monitoring, and Dev Ops practices to improve network operations.
- Handle routing and switching updates, remediation work, and configuration tasks.
- Work independently while contributing as a reliable teammate on complex technical efforts.

- Role: Contract, full-time
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Location: Hybrid remote in Raleigh, NC 27609
- Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000 annually
- Benefits: 401(k) and 401(k) matching
- Note: A US government clearance is required; we will provide the background check.
