Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Sr Security Engineer - IAM to join their team. As a Sr Security Engineer - IAM, you will be part of the Cybersecurity Department supporting the Identity & Access Management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr Security Engineer - IAM

Location: Remote in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia. If local to Raleigh, NC, onsite presence for major meetings is expected.

Pay Range: $65/hr

What's the Job?
  • Drive the design, development, and enhancement of the organization's IAM program, ensuring alignment with security policies and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the implementation and support of IAM solutions such as Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and business stakeholders to improve security posture and mitigate identity-related risks.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead complex IAM projects from inception to completion.
  • Participate in governance, compliance efforts, and on-call support to ensure continuous security improvements.
What's Needed?
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields, with a focus on IAM solutions.
  • Experience with IAM platforms such as Okta, SailPoint, Entra, and AWS Cloud Identity solutions.
  • Proficiency in implementing or supporting IAM solutions like PAM, SSO, Directory Services, IGA, and MFA.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth
    2.0, SAML, LDAP, Kerberos, and XACML.
  • Strong understanding of IAM governance frameworks, compliance standards, and user lifecycle management processes.
