Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing Oracle RDBMS, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and/or No

    SQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and query writing.
  • Proficiency in UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (physical and virtual).
  • Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain system security and integrity through access controls, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage file, print, and application servers.
  • Administer virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to support company-wide projects.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Provide a quality-controlled software release management system to all servers and end user workstations, including troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure successful delivery of software releases
  • Schedule and deploy operating system or operating system components, patches or service pack releases, new or modified anti-virus software, custom written internal and or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software using MECM, Ansible, other automation tools, or manually as required
  • Build, upgrade, configure servers with proper documented security settings and place them in the proper
  • Accept revised application software packages that have been certified by the Postal Service for production release (including new versions of existing software components) and perform an initial assessment of the impact to server operations
  • Recommends and takes action to improve processes
  • Perform any necessary testing of installing or updating software according to the requested action following the Program Team’s approval
  • Use system management tools to monitor, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Provide project plans,reports, and presentations using Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
