Government Informatics Consultant – Qlik BI Developer
Mercer Health & Benefits, LLC is seeking candidates for the following full‑time position based in the Raleigh, NC office. A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.
Responsibilities- Create, test, and debug Qlik View/Sense analytics dashboards and Nprinting Reports.
- Create custom extensions in Qlik Sense, including JavaScript and D3.
- Maintain data loads and Qlik View/Sense dashboards and reports for efficient performance and timely data updates.
- Work closely with Business Intelligence (BI) architects to gather and document required BI system requirements.
- Document BI report requirements and technical specifications with input/output technical design.
- Translate business requirements into specifications for consistent reporting and metadata enhancements.
- Extract, transform and load data into Qlik View/Sense tools (requires data modeling across multiple data sources).
- Utilize Qlik's in‑memory data discovery architecture and advocate and communicate adherence to Qlik's best practices and standards.
- Provide technical support to ensure data availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users.
- Provide technical assistance and cross‑training to other team members as needed.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any) or a related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Three (3) years of experience developing BI solutions using Qlik View and Qlik Sense.
- Experience working in data‑warehouse environments, reporting on dimensions/hierarchies with Star Schema/Snowflake modeling and Fact & Dimension tables.
- Experience developing complex Qlik data models and using set analysis/expressions.
- Proficiency in creating data load scripts in Qlik Sense, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, VB, and JSON.
- Experience with Qlik View Publisher capabilities.
- Proficiency in SQL RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server), data warehouse, and Hadoop/big data systems with performance tuning.
- Experience with ETL tools including SSIS, Informatica, and Snaplogic.
