Oracle Techno Functional Consultant-Finance

ROLE OVERVIEW

Our enterprise client in Raleigh, NC is undergoing a major Finance ERP Transformation, migrating from legacy systems (People Soft, AS/400, Oracle EBS) to Oracle Cloud Financials. They need a senior Oracle ERP Finance Techno-Functional Consultant.

This is a 6-12 month contract with strong extension potential, based On‑Site in Raleigh, NC.

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders to analyze current‑state ERP processes and recommend Oracle best‑practice improvements.
• Provide techno‑functional expertise across Oracle Financial modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Tax.
• Lead solution design for Oracle ERP implementations including Chart of Accounts, Ledger setup, Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules, and Accounting Hub (AHCS) event models.
• Map, validate, and optimize integrations across legacy systems (People Soft, AS/400, EBS) and Oracle Cloud platforms using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Design and validate Oracle Accounting Hub (AHCS) and Subledger Accounting (SLA) financial data transformation layers including accounting rules, mapping logic, journal derivation, and event models.
• Develop PL/SQL procedures, BI Publisher financial reports, FBDI/ADFdi templates, and Oracle concurrent programs.
• Configure AP payment processing including ACH, wire, checks, 1099/W‑9, and Supplier Portal setup.
• Support AR Revenue Recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), Lockbox processing, and Collections management.
• Lead Month‑End, Quarter‑End, and Year‑End close cycles including AP, AR, FA, and CM subledger close before GL.
• Document system and process flows including functional design (MD050), technical design (MD070), and test scripts (TE040).
• Lead CRP, SIT, and UAT testing phases and train Finance super‑users, Controllers, and AP/AR Managers.
• Provide post‑Go‑Live hypercare and root‑cause analysis for critical Finance issues.

Must Have:

• 5+ years of Oracle ERP Finance experience in Oracle EBS R12 (12.1 / 12.2) and/or Oracle Cloud Financials (Fusion).
• Hands‑on functional configuration in minimum 3 modules: GL, AP, AR (mandatory); FA and Cash Management preferred.
• Deep expertise in Oracle Accounting Hub (AHCS) OR Subledger Accounting (SLA) including accounting rules, event models, journal line types, and account derivation.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, bulk collect, and performance tuning.
• Oracle BI Publisher including RTF template design, data models, XML bursting, and report scheduling.
• FBDI / ADFdi / Open Interface tables for GL Journal, AP Invoice, AR Transaction, and FA Mass Additions.
• Experience with legacy‑to‑cloud ERP migration including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation from People Soft, AS/400, or EBS to Oracle Cloud.
• Strong ability to interpret Finance business requirements and translate into Oracle technical and system specifications.
• US compliance experience including 1099 (MISC/NEC), ACH/NACHA payments, US GAAP, and SOX controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) including REST/SOAP integrations, ERP Cloud adapters, FTP/file adapters, and bank feed integrations.
• Oracle Cloud Financials (Fusion) prior implementation or consulting experience.
• Multi‑system ERP coexistence environments with two systems running in parallel during transition.
• Oracle Workflow / Approval Management Engine (AME) for Invoice and Payment approval flows.
• Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) / OTBI for self‑service financial reporting.
• Oracle EPM (Hyperion Financial Management / FCCS) for consolidation and financial close.
• Multi‑org, multi‑ledger, multi‑currency Oracle Financials configuration experience.
• Oracle Cloud ERP Financials Certified Implementation Specialist.
• Prior Big 4, System Integrator consulting, or Oracle partner implementation experience.
