About the Job

This is a technical services role focused on facilitating adoption and proper usage of Red Hat technologies to achieve customer business objectives. The role involves working with key enterprise customers, understanding their IT infrastructure, internal processes, and business needs, and providing a premium level of engagement that builds, maintains, and grows long‑lasting customer loyalty. The opening focuses on Red Hat Open Shift but may adjust to other products.

Location

Central or Eastern U.S. time zone (must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business).

Responsibilities
  • Support enterprise customers implementing or using Red Hat Open Shift solutions.
  • Learn and stay current with new technologies including container orchestration, registries, build strategies, microservices, and automation environments.
  • Acquire and maintain Red Hat certifications relevant to customer technologies.
  • Manage and grow customer relationships through attentive, relationship‑based support.
  • Serve as the primary customer advocate within Red Hat, facilitating communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical tutorials and workshops to customers and internal teams.
  • Deliver portfolio roadmap updates and assist customers with product upgrades and implementation.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer technical infrastructures, environments, hardware, and product usage.
  • Proactively identify and address technical risks and opportunities within customer environments.
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, engineering, R&D, and technical support to develop and support implementation of customer solutions.
  • Lead complex technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for critical customer issues.
  • Visit customer sites as needed to ensure an exceptional service experience.
Qualifications
  • Experience in technical account management, technical support, software development, engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of Red Hat Open Shift or similar container orchestration technologies.
  • Ability to manage and grow existing customer relationships by delivering proactive, relationship‑based support.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology‑related discipline (preferred).
  • Residence in the U.S., Central or Eastern Time Zone.
  • Software engineering background; experience with RPM‑based Linux technologies.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative.
  • Experience in Dev Ops environments and container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience deploying applications in cloud environments and developing containerized applications.
  • Good comprehension of CI/CD concepts.
Salary

$96,440 – $154,190 annually (actual offer based on qualifications; may differ for Remote‑US locations).
