Data Analyst
Institutional Analyst – University Data and Analytics (UDA) – Raleigh, North Carolina.
Responsibilities- Support reporting and analysis needs of campus stakeholders, including routine and ad‑hoc data requests.
- Respond to federal, state, national ranking, and research reporting requirements.
- Analyze data and produce accurate, actionable reports for internal and external constituencies.
- Develop, streamline, and automate processes for managing and producing data and analytic reports.
- Maintain standardized information resources such as dashboards and websites.
- Document all programs, processes, datasets, and reports.
- Support UDA users through effective documentation and instruction.
- Serve as a contact point for campus constituents regarding reporting products.
- Conduct data validation and quality reviews.
- Master’s degree and at least one year of relevant experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience, OR
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with analytics programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL).
- Experience with data visualizations (e.g., Power BI, SAS VA, Tableau).
- Proficiency in querying, transforming, and analyzing data.
- Ability to work with complex, cross-functional data.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Commitment to data accuracy, quality, and integrity.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Adherence to security procedures and handling of confidential data.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Collaborative team player.
- 1-2 years of professional experience producing reports, dashboards, or performing data analysis.
- 1-2 years of experience with analytics languages (e.g., SAS, SQL).
- Prior experience in higher education using university data.
